VFW POST 5221 AUXILIARY
WHO WE ARE
Since 1914, the Auxiliary to the Veterans of Foreign Wars of the United States has worked to ensure that America's Veterans will not be forgotten and those who need assistance will get it. To help achieve those goals, each year donations are made to help make life better for active-duty military personnel, Veterans, and their families, and America's communities. With nearly 600,000 members in the United States, Guam, and Panama, the Auxiliary actively supports our troops as well as Veterans and their families.
Since the War on Terror began, care packages have been sent to troops in Iraq, Afghanistan, Kuwait, Qatar and other locations around the world. Members also donate to Operation Uplink, which supplies free long-distance calling cards to active-duty military and hospitalized Veterans to help them stay in touch with their families.
The VFW Auxiliary proudly welcomes both men and women who have a desire to support the organization's mission to service members, veterans, and their families.

WHAT WE DO
VFW Post 101 Auxiliary Mission Statement
To stand behind, support, and help Post 101 members achieve the necessary goals needed in order to meet their mission which is to "honor the dead by helping the living."
We do this through donations, fundraising, and helping to organize and participate in post events. Every month we bring cakes to our Veterans at the Veterans Home. Yearly we donate to the VFW National Home for Children, make Easter baskets for the Veterans Home, and help decorate our Veterans' graves with flags and poppies on Memorial Day. We, the members of the Auxiliary, understand that this is an important mission and are willing to do what it takes to uphold it.
